CLASSES AND RETREATS
Daphne offers weekly classes in Suffolk, and has offered 10 day retreats in Sri Lanka, and 5 day retreats in SW France. Also, Daphne teaches private classes geared to address personal needs, and offers a yoga toolkit workbook to continue class learning at home.

A series of 5 Classes begins 21 September - 20 October 2020. Classes are live on Zoom, local and with students you may know and a teacher who you can trust to guide you safely into practices, who is certified/insured to teach on-line with the British Wheel of Yoga. Contact to Book:

Comfy Chair Yoga will use chairs as a means of stability but also to allow us to stretch and lengthen. Chair Yoga is for students with conditions such as back, knee, shoulder and neck problems. We will move at a slower pace to allow for all to participate.
Hot Seat Intermediate Chair Yoga is for adapt, physically active, yoga students. We will do yoga flows such as Salute to the Sun and Salute to the Moon, twists, forward bends, back bends and inversions.
Breathing for Health & Well-Being is a class dedicated to improving your breath capacity, calming the mind by focusing on the breath and learning methods for bringing yourself into the moment, to encourage well-being, using the breath and visualisations.
Restorative Yoga uses a yoga bolster to assist deep stretching, deep breathing and relaxation within a posture.
Mindfulness Meditation & Relaxation introduces techniques to calm the mind. We will do guided relaxations.

Outdoor Yoga is a chance to be part of nature as you do your yoga practice. We will be 2 metres apart out of doors, enjoying
a yoga practice together but safely apart. Bring your own yoga mat and perhaps a towel. Contact me to express interest. If it is raining there will be no class!

A small class, receive personal attention. Learn the basic principles of yoga, how to breath more fully and assist in working with aches and pains in the body. We will use props including chairs for deep stretching. A series of 5 classes is £40.00 or £9.00 Drop-in. Follow this class with Mindfulness Meditation at 10:30-11:30AM a powerful combination for healing. Book the two classes, receive a discount. Two hours of yoga + meditation for £15.00.

Join us to learn Mindfulness Meditation, as based on Jon Kabat-Zinn's Full Catastrophe Living, using the wisdom of your body and mind to face stress, pain and illness. Daphne attended Zinn's lectures over 20 years ago. This Mindfulness for healing approach, plus Tibetan Buddhist Meditation Shamatha to Calm the Mind, offers a variety of techniques. We use visual, auditory and kinaesthetic practices to bring peace and calm to mind and body. A class of several experienced meditators who welcome new students, we learn techniques that are practiced at home. Cost is £7.00 when booked with Mindfulness Yoga class or £8.00 drop-in.
Intermediate Yoga Class

A weekly class for those with yoga experience. We use a flowing series to warm up, such as Salute to the Moon or the Viniyoga Flow, followed by an Intermediate posture to deepen your practice. Drop-in students are welcome for £10.00 or a series of 5 classes for £40.00. A great venue, a super nice class of students.

Private Tuition offers a student an individual diagnosis of their needs so that the teacher can tailor a session to address particular issues. One to one tuition is very helpful for establishing the motivation to practice daily and see results. Tuition is priced at £35.00 for a 1/2 hour with a bespoke class plan to take home and use as reference. At my home, or for a small fee to cover travel, in your home. Get a kick start on your new year's health and well being. Yoga is a good compliment to sport activity and can keep you feeling young. We will stretch and lengthen muscle, and find a stronger mind/body connection is possible. A series of 5 consecutive classes is £40.00 and all equipment is provided. The class is full but taking names for the reserve list and the start of the next series.

Hatha Flow Yoga is a Mixed Ability class and will encourage strength building and deep stretching . Held in a bright village hall, just outside of Sudbury. Limited to 12. All equipment is provided. Cost is £40.00 for 5 consecutive classes or £9.00 Drop-in. Use of props to help cope with back pain, neck and shoulder tightness, and to increase breath capacity. Contact us to save a place.
Chair Yoga Class
Wednesdays 9-10AM@ Alphamstone
Chair Yoga is suitable for students with knee problems and back problems. We will use chairs for support us as we focus on opening the body and breathing more fully, to improve health. A small class, you will receive personal attention according to needs. All equipment is provided. Cost is £40.00 for 5 consecutive classes. Gentle music accompanies the movement. A workbook to help you develop a home practice.
A 40 page workbook that accompanies retreat and weekly class learning. This workbook gives users access to practices according to need. It encourages users to start and sustain a daily yoga practice of Asana, Pranayama, and Meditation. The history of yoga, yamas and niyamas, and Patanjali's 8 limbs are outlined. The workbook costs £20.00 and can be mailed or delivered personally.
